For the past few months I was seriously neglecting my hair. To the point where I would just wake up and put it in a ponytail without combing it first, which would lead to huge knots in the middle of my hair.
Don’t ask me why I didn’t learn my lesson the first time. I guess back then I wasn’t feeling like my normal self, and there were quite a few times that I was getting sick and absolutely had no energy what so ever. When I say my hair was damaged, it was really damaged. I’m talking weak, brittle, and shedding like crazy!
Needless to say I was in need of some hair care products to not only help my hair grow, but to help my hair gain back it’s strength. Thank goodness Novex came to the rescue when I received the opportunity to try out their new shampoo and conditioner from the Bamboo Sprout line. I’ve used the Novex Keratin line before and absolutely loved how it made my hair look and feel, so I was excited to try the new line.
The Novex Bamboo Sprout line contains four products; a shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner and leave-in conditioner.
I received the shampoo and conditioner for review. The other products were purchased.
After using it the first time I absolutely love the way my hair looked, felt and the amazing shine it had to it. (Take a look at my before and after I posted on Instagram here.) I don’t typically like to use any products in my hair after I’m done washing and conditioning it because my hair can get super oily throughout the week. So I was truly amazed by the shine factor left behind.
Since I only wash my hair once a week I’ll tell you how I’ve been incorporating these products into my hair care routine.
I first like to start out with a clarifying shampoo( I use one by Pantene), to help dissolve all the oils and to make sure that my hair is receiving the full benefits from the products.
Once I’m done clarifying, I wash twice with the Bamboo shampoo. The first wash is your typical wash and the second wash I like to leave the shampoo in my hair for about 5 minutes. To ensure I get the full effect of the shampoo.
I follow-up with the Bamboo conditioner, comb it through and leave it in my hair for about 3 minutes and fully rinse it out.
Then I apply the Max Keratin from the Keratin line and then wrap my hair in saran wrap or you can use a plastic cap and leave it in for about 15 min and fully rinse it out.
I’m not done yet! I then apply the Bamboo Deep Conditioner (I let my mom try the conditioner and shampoo, she loved it so much she bought the whole line! So thanks mom for sharing this with me!) Leave it in for about 10 minutes and rinse it out.
I know this seems like a lengthy process, but since I wash my hair once a week it’s not like I’m doing this every day. Also, once my hair is completely where it needs to be strength wise, I will do the Max Keratin only once a month.
Overall, I definitely love the Novex Bamboo line. I’ve been using it for well over a month now and have noticed a significant difference in my hair. My hair feels softer and shedding has decreased significantly. Since the shedding is nowhere near what it was when I first started I have also noticed that my hair is starting to grow.
Have you guys tried any of the Novex products? If not, and you are in need of some products that breathe life back into your hair then I highly recommend trying them.
