**Update** I was just notified by one of my readers that Blue Velveteen has closed down. There were some people who had paid for October who are in the process of trying to get their money back. I’m not sure what the status of those refunds are at this moment. But I hope that none of you were affected by this. This is very upsetting and dissapointed to hear.
In keeping up with yesterday’s post, I want to introduce you guys to a new beauty subscription box on the scene.
I’m sure most of you have already heard about Blue Velveteen. But for those that haven’t, Blue Velveteen is a monthly subscription box geared towards beauty related products.
For $10 a month, “you’ll receive 5 deluxe size or full size makeup or beauty products. Whether you are looking to discover cult beauty brands, new product releases, or just want to try something different, we know you are going to LOVE getting your Blue Velveteen box each month.”
Before I show you what I received, isn’t the box everything came in super adorable?!
Here’s what I received:
Sexy Bath and Body – Lavender & Chamomile
Macadamia – Nourishing Leave in Cream
Ciaté – Chinchilla
NYX Ultra Pearl Pigment – Pearl
Baking Powder – Crunch Pore Scrub
I actually love everything that I received!
I’m a HUGE fan of Macadamia hair products, their deep conditioner is a must have, but it’s so expensive. I also love NYX cosmetics.
I’ve yet to try and am really looking forward to using the Ciate polish, Sexy Bath and Body and the Baking Powder scrub from Etude House.
I will do an individual review on these products as I use them.
Oh and before I forget, they put the NYX pigment in it’s own little bag! Isn’t it cute?
The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no card included in the box. Although, it’s a slight chance I did and that I misplaced it.
I do have to point out that from what I’ve seen from their Facebook page; there have been a few hiccups. However, I feel that we need to keep in mind that this is a brand new subscription. There are bound to be hiccups and a few bumps in the road before things start going smoothly. I’m definitely going to stick this out ( I haven’t had any problems though). I’m really looking forward to what October has to bring!
Are you subscribed to Blue Velveteen? If so, what did you get in your box? Did you love it or hate it?
