Happy Memorial Day!
Have you guys heard about the Julep Plié wand?
If not, it’s basically Juleps’ invention for achieving the perfect manicure.
According to Julep, the Plié wand allows you to have more precise control when applying your nail polish. For those (like myself) who have a hard time applying nail polish with our less dominant hand, a quick turn of the wand handle and you’re good to go. Plus, the long handle allows you to reach your toes more easily.
Assembling the Plié wand is pretty simple! all you have to do is take the wand and the cap and attach them together.
The end of the wand and the end of the cap both have magnetic pieces, so it helps them attach and keeps them in place.
Now that you know how to assemble it, it’s time for the results on using this bad boy..err..girl. LOL
I first tried it out with my dominant hand, and found that painting my nails was the same as painting it with a regular nail polish brush. Most likely, because it’s my dominant hand.
Then I tried it with my less dominant hand by turning the handle on the wand, so that the longer part and the part that turns can rest between the crook of my thumb and pointer finger. It did take a few minutes to get use to the feel of the wand in my hand. It also, took a few tries to get the application just right. However, once I got the hang of it I was on a roll. I did notice a difference and that there was way less mess than when I’m applying it with a regular brush.
Last but not least, I tried it on my toes. Normally, when applying polish to my toes, I have to basically bring my foot up to my chest (short arm problems). It’s such an awkward position. Using the Plié wand was sooo much easier! I was able to apply the polish while having my feet on the ground and it was a very clean application!
The Plié Wand did come with a precision brush that can be used; however, it can easily be used with any Julep polish that you have. All you have to do is remove the outer cap and then replace it with the wand.
Not sure how to remove the outer cap of the Julep polish? All you have to do is pull the cap up and it should pop right off!
Did you know that a lot of other polishes have removable outer caps?! I went through all my polishes to see if any of them would fit the Plié Wand. I only had a few polishes that had removable caps, and out of those only one fit the Plié Wand.
We have a winner!!!!
One thing to be careful of, since the Plié Wand is very tall and top-heavy it can cause the Julep polishes to tip over. So if you have to take a break while doing your nails, it’s a good idea to just take off the upper part of the wand.
Have you tried Juleps Plié Wand? If so, how did you like it? Do you have any tips to share?
If you haven’t tried the wand, is this something you would try?
