For my prize, I received a mini sized version of their Madflowers Body Bronzer.
I’ll be honest; I’m not the type that likes to tan. I literally cry and cringe when I think of having to sit in the sun as it “bakes” my skin. Plus, I don’t tan, I burn and it’s bad and leaves behind a horrible unflattering color. Yet, I wouldn’t mind having an allover very subtle bronzed glow. So I was really excited to win this.
At first glance, I have to say that this product is gorgeous! Starting from the shape of bottle, to the shimmery bronze liquid elixir inside, this product is just begging for you to display it on your vanity table.
I’ve never tried any bronzing oils or tanning lotions before, so I wasn’t quite familiar on how this product should be used. However, according to Madflowers website, it’s really simple.
“To Achieve Ultimate Sexiness: Shake-shake-shake. This lightweight bronzer blends easily into the skin. Massage thoroughly over your body after a morning shower, touch up exposed areas in the mid-afternoon, or highlight the décolletage for a hot evening tease.” – www.madflowers.net
I’m also really intrigued with the ingredients! It’s all natural, which makes it even better in my book. Since recently, I’m finding a new found love for all natural products.
“Henna Extract and Carrot Oil– Enhances color and protect from the harshness of the sun.
Hawaiian Kukui Nut, Macadamia Nut and Safflower Oil– Dries quickly for lightweight, nourishing moisture for supple skin.
A blend of Rosemary, Rosehip, Calendula, Wheat Germ and Bergamot Orange– Rejuvenates skin for a healthy, youthful glow.
Vitamin E– Promotes skin cell growth and anti-inflammatory benefits.
Plumeria– An exotic scent from the Islands.” – www.madflowers.net
It turns out that the beautiful glass bottle that the bronzer comes in helps to preserve all the natural ingredients above.
“Glass actually preserves my sexy, healthy, non-toxic oils and extracts. Gorgeous.”-www.madflowers.net
I was a bit nervous to use this, because I thought that I would get that infamous orange streaking. Boy was I wrong! I tested this out on my hand, and it left my skin looking even more beautiful and radiant.
It did slightly enhance my skin color with an even sexy bronzed goddess glow! I really love how subtle the change was; however, if you’re looking for more of a darker color, you can always just keep building it up until you get the shade you desire. It didn’t leave behind a sticky residue, nor did it leave behind a thick layer and was easily absorbed into my skin.
(You can tell I was a little anxious to take the picture because my skin did not yet absorb the bronzer. However, it only takes about a 2 minutes before it’s fully absorbed)
The smell is amazing! I received lots of compliments on the scent when I was testing this out on my hand at work. It’s like a vacation in a bottle and has a nice light, tropical scent.
The only thing I was not crazy about was how to dispense the product. I’m not sure if this only relates to the mini version; however, the opening was covered with a plastic top and a small hole in the center (perfect for not letting it spill), which took quite an effort to get bronzer out (I felt like I was using a glass ketchup bottle). It would be nice if it had a pump, so that you can easily squirt the bronzer in your hand.
Other than that, I’m truly loving the Madflowers Body Bronzer! I’m definitely going to look into getting a bigger bottle, because I can see myself using this product year round.
I was actually sent two bottles, one for me and one for a friend. I was going to give the other bottle to my cousin…but now I’m a little hesitant on giving it to her. Shhh! LOL! I know she’s reading this, so I’m not going to hold out on the goodies.
