*Update* – So much for Mani-Monday! I’m so sorry I’m late on this, I just haven’t been feeling good and just got to taking pictures last night of my nails.
I hope you all had a great weekend! Not too long ago, Leslie reached out to me and Donah and asked if we would be interested in doing Breast Cancer Awareness inspired nails for our next Mani-Monday Collab. I’m really glad she asked because I wanted to do something for Breast Cancer Awareness month and this was a perfect idea!
Now, I had quite a few ideas. However when it came to trying to execute those ideas… let’s just say they were epic fails. So I opted for a simple yet classic design, then decided to glitter bomb the hell out of it.
Here’s what I used:
(Formula X Base Coat, Essie Good To Go, Zoya Purity, Essie Set In Stone, OPI Hey Baby, White Acrylic Paint. Not Shown: Nail Striper and Dotting Tool)
And here’s the finished look!
What do you think? I have to say that doing the ribbon was a bit harder than I thought it would be. After my 5th failed attempt and an acetone induced headache, I ended up using white acrylic paint, since I could just wipe it off my mistakes with a damp cloth. Oh why didn’t I think to do this earlier?
