I tried my very best to avoid the OPI Gwen Stefani collection. However, it just wasn’t possible.
As soon as I saw that Push and Shove was going to be chrome metallic finish, I just had to check out the whole collection.
I grabbed all the colors except for two, I Sing In Color (a créme gloss dark burgundy) and Over & Over A-Gwen (a créme gloss red). The reason being is that I don’t normally wear red or burgundy polishes.
So, I grabbed the rest of the collection.

I can honestly say that I am in love with these colors and will be using them quite often.
Push and Shove is gorgeous, but I was honestly expecting more of a wow factor. It’s also not really a forgiving color. If you have a lot of ridges in your nails, be sure to use a ridge filler, prior to applying this.
Push and Shove comes with its own special base coat. It’s called Lay Down That Base, and was made specifically for Push and Shove to help give it an “ultra chrome finish”.
The packaging states that you want to apply one coat of Lay Down That Base. Let it completely dry and then apply two thin coats of Push and Shove. Oh, and do not finish with a top coat. Follow those instructions and you will get a pretty chrome finish. By the way the chrome finish only lasts a day, which is stated on the package.
Have you picked up this collection yet? If so, I would love to know your thoughts on it.
If not, do you see any colors that you would like to add to your nail polish stash?
