Hope everyone’s week got off to a great start!
So with it being fall and all, we all know for most of us that the change of weather can wreak havoc on our skin.
Once it starts getting cooler, my lips get super dry, and they constantly peel all day, so wearing any type of lipstick or lip gloss is a huge no-no for me. Unless, I take the time to heavily moisturize my lips both at night and in the morning.
I have a few lip balms that are my holy grail products; however, I do love to try new products. I’ve recently discovered a new lip balm (well new to me) by a company named Smith’s/Rosebud Perfume Co. After doing some research, I found that this product goes by two different names, not too sure why.
The one I purchased has “Smith’s Strawberry Lip Balm” on it. But then they also have others that have “Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm” with the same exact packaging, which leads me to believe it is the same company.
What I love about this lip balm is that it does not feel heavy what-so-ever. It goes on really smooth, and has a thin consistency to it. However, even though it’s pretty thin it leaves my lips feeling extremely soft.
It also does not leave my lips feeling waxy, or sticky, and the smell is AMAZING! It smells like strawberries! I swear I just want to lick it off my lips (it does have a nice sweet taste to it).
Here’s how I’ve been using it. Before I go to bed I apply several coats to my lips, and then in the morning before I start my makeup routine I apply just a little. When I’m ready to apply my lipstick/lip gloss I gently blot the balm off my lips.
This leaves my lips feeling soft, smooth and flake free.
I would definitely recommend this product to everyone, and will be purchasing more of these so that I can leave them in different places, such as work, my car, etc.
Have you tried this product before? If so, what are your thoughts on it?
What lip product do you turn to when your lips get really dry and flakey?
