Not too long ago my dear friend Leslie (Bravenezz) was kind and generous enough to send me a box full of some amazing things. THANK YOU SO MUCH HUN! You honestly did not have to do this. I truly appreciate it! I literally cried happy tears for your kindness, huge heart and generosity.
The first thing that I just had to try out was the Too Faced á la mode Eyes. As soon as I opened this palette I could hear the angels singing! LOL!
But seriously, one look at this palette and I just knew I was in love!
The Too Faced á la mode Eyes offers a total of 9 shimmering colors that “Capture a summer sunset in St. Tropez…” Out of the 9 shades there are 3 oversized nude/neutral shades that can double as highlighters. This is always a huge plus for me because these are the shades that are used the most!
This is actually my first ever eye shadow palette from Too Faced and I’m completely blown away by how soft, silky and pigmented these colors are! Seriously, I swiped and my mind was blown!
There is so much versatility in this palette! It has both neutral and bright colors that can take you from day to night in minutes. Too Faced also included a little book giving you some suggestions on how to use the colors. I may try those suggestions out, but I just like doing my own thing.
I ended up trying this palette out on my cousin, when she asked me to do her make up for a get together she was going to. As soon as I started using the shadows on her (I used Cote d’ Azur in her crease and Jardin on her lid, with a light touch of St. Tropez on her brow bone) she commented on how creamy the shadows felt, and was a bit surprised that they were powder shadows.
Not only do they have a nice creamy feel to them, they also are super easy to blend!
Out of this palette I would have to say my favorite shades are… you know what?! They are all my favorite! I was a little unsure of La Croisette, it seemed a bit too white for me, but for this color a little goes a very long way and looked really great when used as a highlight for my brow bone. Also, I was a bit nervous about St. Tropez, because in the pan it looks like it has glitter overload, but it’s just an overspray and does not apply glittery or leave glittery fallout.
Other than that, this palette is a must have in my eyes. I’m so anxious to use all the colors! I feel like I might end up color bombing my eyes…I’m sure it wouldn’t be a good look. Hmmm… or maybe it could be the start of a new trend?
Leslie, thank you so much hun! I’m officially hooked on Too Faced shadows!
Do you have the Too Faced á la mode Eyes? If so, what are your thoughts on it? Which is your favorite shade/color combination?
If not, does this look like a palette you would purchase?
