IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup

Hey Belleza’s

With all the makeup we tend to wear these days and the fact that a lot of the products we use are made to be bullet proof; it’s so important that we are properly removing all traces of makeup at the end of the day.

From makeup wipes to cleansing oils and cleansing balms, we have so many options to choose from.  I’ve tried all of the above and have loved and hated some; however, I’m currently obsessing over the new IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup 3-n-1 Makeup Melting Balm. This balm is described as a “fast acting cleanser, makeup remover & anti-aging serum” all in one.  I’ve been using this for the past 3 months and I absolutely LOVE it!

One of the many things I love about this balm is the scent. It has a very light and refreshing citrus scent that isn’t too overpowering.  Plus it doesn’t linger on your skin once you rinse it off. If you have a semi- sensitive nose like I do, you should be perfectly fine with this.

A little bit of this balm goes a very long way. Just like coconut oil (but not as greasy)! In fact it is quite similar to coconut oil in a few ways. It starts off as a solid, but the warmth of your fingers quickly melts it into oil. This makes it very easy to apply all over your face.

By the way…make sure you apply this on dry skin not wet skin…trust me on this.

I love that it’s super gentle! I applied this to my eyelashes to remove some stubborn waterproof mascara and I didn’t even have to rub my eyes too hard (unlike a few makeup removers that I’ve tried).  Just a few light swipes (in circular motions) and my mascara literally melted off.  Seriously, this balm dissolved a full face (layers) of makeup in under a minute.  Wiping off the balm is pretty simple; just use a dry/wet washcloth to reveal a fresh makeup free face. I’ve tried both ways and I actually like to use a warm damp cloth.

My daughter was nice enough to lend me her arm. 🙂

If your makeup is a bit on the stubborn side, you can leave the balm on a bit longer.

One of the things that set this apart from other cleansing oils and cleansing balms is that you don’t need to wash your face afterwards.  Although, I do recommend following up with your normal skincare routine. Plus there is no greasy film left behind, all you’re left with is clean, smooth, soft & super hydrated skin.

I honestly can’t say if I see any results from the anti-aging serum…only time will tell.

This balm is being added to my holy grail of products that I MUST replace when I run-out.

Have you tried this cleansing balm yet? If so, how did you like? If not, what are some of your favorite makeup removers?
