Hey Belleza’s

Treating oily skin…It’s no secret that I’ve been with blessed with super oily skin…sarcastic much?  I’ve tried so many different products for oily skin; some didn’t work at all, some did work and some did work and then stopped working.  I honestly wish that I can trade my oily skin for dry skin. I think it would be so much easier to deal with than the oil refinery that exists on my face.

Since I’m not able to change my skin, I figured I would share with you the products that I’m currently using to keep my greasy skin under control.

These products do change every few months depending on if my skin becomes “used” to the products.

Cleanser:

Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Cleansing Gel – This was recommended to me by one of the associates at Sephora after I told her my skin concerns. She hit the ball out of the park when she recommended this to me. I love how this cleanser pulls all the impurities out of my skin! Plus it has really gotten my breakouts under control (hope I didn’t just jinx myself).

Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser – When my skin is looking dull I turn to this cleanser to help brighten up my skin! I actually like to let this sit on my face for a few minutes before washing it off. I noticed a considerable difference than when just using it as a cleanser.

Foreo Luna 2 – Now I know this really isn’t a cleanser but it’s a great addition to my cleansing routine. It really helps to keep my pores nice and clean.  I must say that I’m loving this way more than my Luna and Luna Mini. You can read my review on it here.

Masks:

Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask – After using this mask for a ew months and it has become my holy grail mask! It’s a scrub (without the scrubbies) and a peel in one. The recommend leaving this on for about 10 minutes; however, I leave it on for 30 minutes for a more intense peel. Uggh! The way my skin feels when I rinse this off is amazing!

Hell Pore Clean Up Mask – I’m a sucker for a peel-off masks! It’s so gratifying being able to peel off the yuckiness buried in your skin. This mask grabs a hold of all the dirt pulls it right out. There is a bit of an ouch factor with this, but once you use it for a while the ouch factor goes away (at least with me).

Moisturizer:

Shea Moisturizer African Black Soap Problem Skin Moisturizer – Because of my oily skin I have to make sure to use a moisturizer that will moisturizer and helps control oil. Plus with oily skin comes acne, this helps to treat acne as well.

StriVectin Advanced Retinol Pore Refiner – I added this into my skin routine about 2 months ago and I can truly see what a difference it has made in the size of my pores! For the most effective results I like to tap it into my pores.

Primer:

Scandinavia Primer for Oily Skin – I’ve been using this for about 2-3 weeks now and I love it! Really helps to keep my skin from getting oily for quite a few hours.

Cover FX Custom Blot Drops – I use this in addition to my primer, I add it in my foundation and even use it for touch ups through out the day. This product is so versatile and AMAZING!

Foundation:

Milani 2-n-1 Foundation – I’ve been obsessed with this foundation for the past few months! I love the full coverage and that I don’t need to apply multiple layers. I find the less layers you wear the less your makeup will look a hot mess when it starts sliding off of your face. In case you’re wondering, I use shade 009 which I do have to lighten a bit.

Setting Powder:

RCMA No Color Powder – I’ve been using this powder for almost a year now and I absolutely love it! It’s so hard to find a translucent powder for darker skin tones that won’t leave a white cast. Also, the amount you get for the price you pay is FANTASTIC. I have an oz container and only paid around $12.

Excuse the messy bottle, I’ve had this for over a year now.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder – I didn’t believe in magic until I tried this! Seriously this powder did literally made my pores disappear! Now if I can only fine something to make them disappear forever! I do want to note that I’ve tried both the pressed powder and the loose powder; I prefer the pressed powder.

Brush:

IT Cosmetics Heavenly Skin Bye Bye Pores Brush – Now I know this is a weird category to add; however, this does wonders at applying foundation! It truly buffs the makeup in to help minimize the appearance of pores. I feel guilty saying this because I’ve been using a Beauty Blender for so many years, but I’ve been reaching towards this brush for the past month. Just wait til you see how insanely soft this brush is.

Finishing Spray:

Scandinavia Finishing Spray for Oily Skin  Like the primer I’ve been  using this for about 2-3 weeks ( I bought it as a set)  and OH MY GOODNESS, I never thought I would find anything to replace my Kat Von D Setting Spray that I loved but boy was I wrong!  This finishing spray is definitely a must have! It keeps my makeup looking fresh all day. If you have oily skin then please give this a try.

Have oily skin like me? What products are you currently using to treat your oily skin?

Suggestions Needed:

I’m currently searching high and low for a product that I can use on my nose to prevent my makeup from separating. My nose sweats like crazy! I can be cold and my nose will start to sweat. I’ve tried so many products and nothing so far has worked. So if any of you have this problem or know of someone that has this same problem, please leave a comment below of possible products to try.

I’m also in need of a good toner for oily skin, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What type of skin do you have? What are your favorite products for your specific skin type?
